Printing Guidelines

UV Coating:
 For 14pt. Gloss Coated Cover, UV Coating will be applied to the color sides, unless No UV Coating on Back is selected. If you select Color Front/No Back or Color Front/B&W Back, only the color side (front) will be coated.

Uploading your own design? Please read these file guidelines:

• Accepted file formats: .AI, .PSD, .JPG, & .PDF.
• Print-ready files should be 350 dpi in CMYK color mode.
• You will receive an email indicating your artwork was approved.
• An online proof may be purchased at an additional fee.
• Please download our design templates to build your files correctly.
• Files not built correctly may delay the order.

Approval Turnaround Time: 24 Hours (excluding Holidays4)

Print Turnaround Time: 2-5 business days after approval and payment processing

Important: 
During the holiday season, we will be extending our proof turnaround time by an additional 1 business day. Files not built correctly may delay the order.

Once we receive your uploaded file(s), we will review each file to ensure they are correct and approved for print. If no issues are found, you will receive an “approval” email within 24 hours and your print job will be added to the queue in the order it was received.

A digital proof may be added at an additional charge. If you have selected a digital proof, you will receive an email with your proof attached for approval within 24 hours. You must reply to the email with the text “APPROVED” in the body. Once your approval is received, your print job will be placed in the queue in the order it was received. After approval, your order is final and no changes may be made.

If we find any issues with your uploaded files, we will contact you by email indicating what was wrong with the file. Our pricing includes processing of one set of uploaded files and only the single proof. We highly recommend downloading and using our blank templates to build your custom artwork.

Artwork Resolution: File formats must be submitted with a minimum of 350 dpi (dot per inch) resolution at 100% of the final print size. 
Images designed for the web cannot be used for printing due to their low resolution of 72 dpi. Print images need to be created at 350 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.

Examples:

3.5″x 2″ Business Card resolution: 350 dpi (1260 pixels x 735 pixels)
6″x 4″ Postcard resolution: 350 dpi (2135 pixels x 1435 pixels)

IMPORTANT: We do NOT review uploaded artwork for typographical errors or image quality. It is your responsibility to upload proper files and adhere to our guidelines. If you upload files that have low resolution, or have typos, we are not responsible and no refunds will be issued on uploaded artwork.

Color Mode: Color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode. 
Black & white artwork and/or images must be provided in grayscale color mode.

Bleed: For business cards, please build your print-ready digital files by adding 0.1″ bleed to each dimension (or 0.05″ bleed on all four sides). For example, a 3.5″ x 2″ business card with full bleed should be 3.6″ x 2.1″. 
Please design your files using our design templates to ensure proper bleed.
